The British Association for the Advancement of Science is a nation-wide organisation and registered charity, with an open membership, dedicated to the communication and appreciation of science. The BA covers all scientific disciplines, including engineering, medicine and the social sciences, encouraging and enabling scientists to communicate, promote and discuss all aspects of science and its impact on everyday life.

Royal Institution
The Royal Institution has been communicating science to the public since its inception in 1799. It organises over 100 events for young people, including the Christmas lectures, and over 120 events for adults each year.

ECSITE-UK
ECSITE-UK represents over 80 science centres and discovery centres in the UK. ECSITE-UK’s purpose is to raise the profile of science centres, and to establish their role as a forum for dialogue between science specialists and the public and as an informal learning resource for learners of all ages.
